Tips for Enhancing and Protecting Your Hair While You Sleep

Going to bed and waking up with a messy  hair can be very unpleasant to start your day with. This is the reason why learning to protect your hair properly  before going to bed at night is very important and also the key to keeping your hair  in a very good condition.

You can also keep your locks in shape with  a little effort while catching up on some beauty sleep. It can be whether you braiding your hair to get waves ,nourishing a damaged hair or trying to preserve the look of a sleek blowout.

There ways we can all take and also make  sure that our strand stays in place throughout the night while we are sleeping.

I am going to share some tips on how to protect your hair so that you can wake up looking your best.

1.Dangle your hair before bed

The simplest way to protect your hair at night is by brushing your strand properly and thoroughly  because this helps dangle your hair and it also evenly distributes the natural oils from the roots to the ends of the hair. If you are having a  natural hair, you should use a comb with a wide-tooth to remove the knots and tangles on your damped hair.

This will help prevent the hair from breakages. You should also make sure that you do not go over board with the brushing. You can also use a brush with a soft bristle for your hair because it also helps to take the knots out of your hair and apart from that you should be very kind to your strands when brushing or dangling it. When you are done dangling your hair, create some few braids to keep your hair in place throughout the night.

It will help to avoid any tangles and knots that will form over night while sleeping.

2.Applying a nourishing hair treatments

.Hair treatments are known for their moisturizing benefits and it is also an effective way or method  to give to your locks to help it to shine and bright. and also another way to show your locks some love while you are sleeping

Applying a treatment that will stay on  your strands over the night will give it several hours to get fully absorbed into your hair will allow it to work its magic.

3.Giving yourself a scalp massage

One of the best part of going to the salon is when your hairstylist massages your scalp which recreates that relaxing feeling before bedtime .Research also states that massaging of the scalp stimulates the blood to flow to the follicles and it also keeps the scalp healthy. It also helps in the production of very thick strands.

A very quick self scalp massage can be very relaxing and it can also help calm you to sleep.

4.Using a lightweight hair serum

To help minimize the amount of frizz  in your hair when you wake up, it will be best to try applying a hair serum like castor oil, coconut oil, argon oil , shea  moisture leave in, Cantu leave in, castor oil etc. on your tresses before going to bed.

I will recommend you  use a hair cap or wrap your hair with a satin or silk scarf at night before going to bed. This will help prevent the strands from breaking because of the friction that is caused by rubbing it (hair or strands) on the pillowcases.

5.Applying a hydrated/hydrating deep conditioner.

If you have the dried type of hair, then using a deep conditioner will be a very good and great  way to revive and also moisture your strands.

6.Choosing braids over heat.

Choosing braids over heat is because braids are one of the most popular protective styles to wear before going to bed. The braids should not be too tight.

7. Sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcases.

Adding a luxurious element to  your  night hair care routine or evening hair care ritual routine with a satin or silk pillowcase will tend to help your strands. Using a satin or silk pillowcase helps to keep your hairstyle from getting messed up while you toss and turn when sleeping. And since satin or silk pillowcases are very soft and smoother than most
materials or fabrics, it will help you to avoid unnecessary dryness and also damage of your strands  or hair.
